What is Embedded Technology?
Embedded Technology refers to developing electronic products built around a microcontroller. A microcontroller is a complex integrated circuit, resembling a microprocessor, which can run a program (ASM code). The main difference from a microprocessor is that the microcontroller has reduced capabilities regarding memory management, execution speed and interfacing.
Which are the main advantages of Embedded Technology?
Developing products based on embedded technology allows us to conceive automation systems that can manage complex tasks without integrating on a large scale a personal computer (PC). Therefore the total cost can be reduced and the efficiency improved. Also, embedded systems are characterized by an improved stability an a reduced cost of implementation and maintenance.
What are we doing?
Our efforts in embedded technology are focused on developing automated system for measure and control, featuring on-chip communication. The goal is to generalize measure and control automated systems based on microcontrollers to improve efficiency and to lower the total cost of ownership.
